“There is one thing the photo must contain – the humanity of the moment.”

“It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart, and head.”

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

“When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!”

“It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.”

“If the photographer is interested in the people in front of his lens, and if he is compassionate, it’s already a lot. The instrument is not the camera but the photographer.”

“It is my intention to present – through the medium of photography – intuitive observations of the natural world which may have meaning to the spectators.”
